CHIRUTI RAILWAY STATION:
Its present name is Karnasubarna. By road it is 10 kilometre south of Berhampore town and by rail it is 192 kilometre north of Howrah.

RAJBARIDANGA:
It is 1.5 kilometre east of Chiruti (Karnasubarna) railway station. University of Calcutta, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S.R.Das of ancient history department excavated in this 6-8 metre high mound. All the antiques including coins, earthen pots, grains etc. are still kept in the museum of the university. Some parts of the foundation walls of large, rectangular temple are excavated here. It was a Panchayatan (A cluster of five temples, the main is in the middle of other four temples) temple.

RAKSHASIDANGA:
It is 0.5 kilometre south from Rajbaridanga. This place is 8 metre high from the normal land- level. The basement and walls of a building (Bihar, Stupa etc.) of Buddhist period are found after excavation of this place by Archaeological Survey of India (A.S.I.) in 1928-29. Historian Sri Nikhil Nath Roy thinks it, as one of the four stupas, built by the great Ashoka, described in the Hsuan Tsang's book.

JADUPUR- SANYASIDANGA:
Jadupur is a very old place, situated at the east of Rajbaridanga. Sanyasidanga is in the north- east corner of this village. Sanyasidanga was one of the ten Buddhist stupas, described in the Hsuan Tsang's book. Besides this Captain Leyard observed a high steeple at the north of this place in 1845. That was the north gate of Karnasubarna city.

Till now the whole area of the glorious capital has not yet been fully excavated for want of sufficient fund. According to Hsuan Tsang's description, Raktamrittika Mahabihar was very near to the Karnasubarna city. The location of that bihar is known properly after excavation.
