Kandi is in the west of Berhampore. Here many historical antiquities of Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Muslimism are found. The cultural integration between Aryans and Non- Aryans is observed here. Besides these, the adjacent famous village is Panchthupi (Originated from Pancha Stupas of Buddhists) which was the Buddhist cultural and educational centre during the reign of king Sasanka. And the famous traveler Hsuan Tsang visited this place. Now-a-days the ruins of only one stupa is visible.

RAJBARI AND TEMPLE:
Description:
The palace like large two- storied temple of Radhaballavjiu is situated in the Kandi Rajbari. Founder: Gouranga Sinha Majumdar or his nephew Radhakanto founded the image of Radhaballavjiu and erected the temple. The images of Radhaballavjiu and Radhika are made of basalt and brass respectively. Along with other images (Jagannath, Radhakanto, Gopal, Gopinath, Madanmohan etc.) are still worshipped. 

KALISWAR SHIVA TEMPLE:
Year of Erection:
It is erected at the end of 18th century by the King of Baghdanga, Raja Kalishankar Roy. Location: It is located at the Baghdanga under Kandi police station. Description: The main east fronted Shiva temple's (Kaliswar temple) length, breadth and height are 5.5 metre, 5.5 metre and 12 metre respectively. The height of Shiva- Linga is of 1.25 metre. This temple is known as Panchamukhi Shiva temple. During the period of Shiva-ratri a big fair is held here.

PANCHARATNA TERRACOTTA TEMPLE:
Year of Erection:
It is erected in 1771- 72 A.D. by Brajamohan Das (Ghosh). Location: At Gobarhati village (16 kilometre south- west of Berhampore). Description: It is a Pancharatna temple (Five- steepled temple, the steeple in the central position is the largest.), having the beautiful panel of terracotta works. In this temple one basalt made Madanmohan image and two Radhika images are present.

SOMESWAR AND SARBAMANGALA TEMPLE:
Description:
There are two temples. One is of the Lord Shiva and the another is of Devi Sarbamangala. Period of Erection: The Shiva temple was erected in the middle of 17th century A.D. but the Shiva linga was founded in 8th or 9th century A.D. by Someswar Ghosh. Sarbamangala temple is in the north- east of Shiva temple and comparatively new. Location: It is located at Jajan village, under Bharatpur police station (8 kilometre south- west from Kandi).

JORA DEUL:
Year of Erection:
In the second half of 18th century by Har Baksi, an worker of Murshidabad Nawab. Location: It is located at Kagram, 7 kilometre south- west from Salar. Description: It is a pair of Shiva temples. Jora means a pair and Deul is a temple. These south- fronted temples' front sides are enriched by terracotta ornaments. The length, breadth and height of both temples are 3 metre, 3metre and 10 metre respectively.   

PANCHAYATAN TEMPLE:
Year of Erection:
In the middle of 18th century by a local zamindar Jagannath Prasad Ghosh Hazra. Location: It is located at Panchthupi, 44 kilometre from Berhampore. Description: It is a temple of Panchayatan style (A cluster of five temples). Locally it is called as Nabaratna (Naba means nine and here Ratna means temple i.e., nine temples) because in its central part there are five and and in its corner parts (Four corners) there are four temples are present.
