Recent Bhagirathi Erosion

Recent Bhagirathi erosion causes threat to the heritage buildings which are standing on the river side. Itihas Parikrama, a History research society of Berhampore West Bengal apprehends that if the proper steps are not taken by the concerned authority the most important heritage buildings/ structures of Bengal including the temple complex of Rani Bhabani’s Char Bangla Mandir at Ajimganj, Murshidabad will collapsed. The renowned Bengali daily “Bartaman Patrika” published the following news in it’s Murshidabad page on April 14, 2016, titled “bidhansava votkey hatiyar korechen jiagonjer basindara” Itihas Parikrama adds the illustrations.

Land Holder’s Association

Heritage shrines face erosion threat from Bhagirathi

Recent Bhagirathi erosion causes threat to the heritage buildings which are standing on the river side.
