Recent Bhagirathi erosion causes threat to the heritage buildings which are standing on the river side. Itihas Parikrama, a History research society of Berhampore West Bengal apprehends that if the proper steps are not taken by the concerned authority the most important heritage buildings/ structures of Bengal including the temple complex of Rani Bhabani’s Char Bangla Mandir at Ajimganj, Murshidabad will collapsed.
